Capture an instant lift of pretty by charging out the door to purchase a new lipstick or save some gas and let your fingers do the shopping online.
Honesty is sitting on my shoulder as truth presents that it is a fact that Lipstick sales rise when the economy is in the tank and you can bet those boys rally around the keg as beer sales also soar. Needless to say that being a cosmetic junkie…. I choose lipstick and a good glass of Chardonnay. Silly as it may sound, a new fashion forward pigment in a tube can alter the way you feel about yourself.
Here are my top 5 Lipstick picks for…

Contact lenses were not a topic that I considered discussing anytime soon until my daughter Alexis called from Mizzou (Go!Tigers) last week in a frenzied state over her contacts. She had just realized that she was on the brink of running out of contacts for her
right eye. Catastrophic in her world…Oh No.
Don’t you have glasses Alexis? and the usual reply of mom in seranade of four syllables.
After a fifteen minute phone call listening to Alexis plead her case of having NO TIME to handle any piece of the re-order, I decided to take over the task for her. Rest assured that I am well aware that anything I have to do would NEVER be as important as my children’s needs according to them. Come on! She’s eighteen…Still can’t say no. For some odd reason, I thought this would be as simple as one phone call…Silly me.
I will not blast the local mass merchandiser that holds her prescription because I will shop there for other merchandise as soon as today because it’s close and cheap.
But get this! With every request I made regarding ordering, pick up, mailing her contact lenses, I was told something to the effect that it was not store policy which translates to NO. Excuse me? My anger connected with the freakin disturbing phone call will not allow me to elaborate further except to share with you that contacts…prescriptions…mailing…credit cards are all what they are…SIMPLE and should involve no frustration.

Braces…UGH! Teenagers!! Yo! Listen Up. Did you watch Good Morning America this morning? Exciting news about braces.
No one enjoys wearing braces especially for extended period of
time that I have been told can be over two years. Having a metal mouth that long is close to intolerable if it were not for the incredible end result…a beautiful smile. I would be the first to admit that a warm and inviting smile can be life changing which should lessen the pain of braces.
Those dreaded braces just became much more bearable with the introduction of the state of the art software called SureSmile . Never heard of it? It is cutting edge, innovative orthodontic software that has been available for the last four years. SureSmile allows the Orthodontist to deliver a complete customized solution for the patient and the desired end result in half the time of traditional braces.

The hottest cosmetic trend this season is dazzling smokin hot eyes!
These seductive eyes are created in fabulous living color for fall 2008 unlike those boring simple shades of gray and browns.
Grays have made way to sultry charcoal, intense coppers to silver metallics that shimmer the night away. Color the window to your sole with exciting jewel toned shades that are fit for a queen or maybe even a rock star.
It’s time to go shopping…Let’s sparkle!
Complimenting the color of you eye is the most important tip to keep in mind when browsing for your perfect eye shadow shades. Green Shadows do not look good on green eyes unless it is the same color as your eyes. Think of blue green or a more yellow green which will keep you are the right track for perfect shades for you as it is impossible to have eyes in both categories. The same applies for those of you with blue eyes. Don’t go running out to purchase a deep aqua blue for your pale ice blue eyes.

Mineral Oil continues to receive a bad rap, primarily from cosmetic
companies claiming to be natural (such an over used tired word) although obviously dissing natural mineral oil. Imagine… A well known cosmetic company
suggests men and women host cosmetic parties in living rooms while slamming mineral oil with crackers to sell cosmetics.

Mineral Oil has been used safely used in cosmetics for eons. It is not a harmful ingredient and actually quite to the contrary.
Let’s discuss and hopefully dispel the associated nasty myths pertaining to mineral oil.
